Once again, River was the New Year's Baby at the Fillmore. Magnolia, who last year was the New Year's Big Sister, this year requested to be the New Year's 5-Year-Old. Magnolia was in the parade across the room, then joined us onstage for the countdown. At the end of the countdown, River burst out through the countdown frame to be hoisted aloft as Baby 2013. It was all very ridiculous.
Also, Magnolia was adopted by the Fillmore cocktail waitresses, who adored her and pronounced her the Littlest Cocktail Waitress. She helped them cut up their lemons and limes before the show.
